Collection: Shakyamuni Buddha Statues

Shakyamuni is the Buddha of history — Siddhartha Gautama, the prince who became the Awakened One under the Bodhi tree. Each statue in this collection is carved from a single block of hardwood, capturing him in the poses most central to Buddhist practice: seated in meditation (dhyana mudra), touching the earth as witness to his enlightenment (bhumisparsha mudra), or with hand raised in teaching (dharmachakra mudra). This is the figure most people picture when they think of "the Buddha," and the natural starting point for a meditation space, altar, or first mindful gift.
