Great curled horns, and a body covered in flowers and winding vines — a ram carved as much for ornament as for form.
Meaning & Symbolism
The ram is an old symbol of determination, protection and abundance, and appears in folk art across many traditions. Here it becomes a canvas for decoration: every surface carries floral and vine motifs in the spirit of traditional ornamental woodcarving.
The Carving
Carved entirely by hand, so the grain, tone and tool marks are unique to each sculpture.
- Large, curled, ridged horns
- Floral and vine motifs carved across the body
- Compact, stepped legs
- Rich reddish-brown finish
Size & Placement
Dimensions (L × W × H): 24 × 10 × 20 cm (9.4 × 3.9 × 7.9 in)
Its size and detail make it a centrepiece — on a console, mantel or a bohemian-style shelf where the carving can be seen up close.
A Considered Gift
A striking gift for collectors of folk art, or for anyone born in the Year of the Goat/Ram.
Care
Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Keep away from direct sun, heaters and damp areas to protect the natural wood.
