- The finger to the lips is a modern, Zen-inspired take on one of the oldest ideas in Buddhism: noble silence. The Buddha often answered questions that led nowhere with stillness instead of words, and his disciples kept silence as a practice of their own.
- In Zen, the deepest teaching is said to pass without speech, as in the Flower Sermon, where a raised lotus and a single smile said everything.
- Kept where you work or rest, it becomes a gentle reminder to pause before reacting, speak with care, and leave a little space for quiet in a noisy day.

African Padauk: a dense tropical hardwood with a deep red-brown tone. Left uncoated, it slowly darkens towards burgundy as it lives with you.

Scented Cypress: a warm golden wood with flowing grain and a soft natural fragrance that comes through when the piece is first unwrapped.
- Carved 100% by hand, chisel to grain, by family artisans in Thuong Tin district, Hanoi. No CNC, no machine finishing. Small differences in grain and tool marks make every piece one of a kind.
- Natural matte finish, no chemical varnish. The curled hair, the robe falling off the shoulder and the hand are all carved from the same block.
