Product Description
Head turned over its shoulder, whiskers flowing, one claw resting on a sacred pearl as clouds swirl beneath it. This feng shui dragon is carved by hand from a single block of scented cypress, every scale cut one at a time. At 20 cm tall it has real presence on a desk, shelf or console, without taking over the room.
🌿 Meaning & Symbolism
- In Chinese and Vietnamese tradition the dragon (Long) is the most auspicious of all creatures, a symbol of strength, success, protection and good fortune. Unlike the fire-breathing dragons of the West, it is a wise, benevolent bringer of rain and abundance.
- The pearl under its claw is the wish-fulfilling pearl, a symbol of wisdom, prosperity and dreams within reach. A dragon guarding a pearl is one of the most sought-after feng shui images for wealth and career.
- The auspicious clouds (xiangyun) at its feet mark the dragon as a heavenly creature rising to the sky, an image of ambition, luck and upward movement.
🪵 The Wood & The Craft
- Carved from Scented Cypress, a warm golden wood with flowing grain and a soft natural fragrance you notice the moment you unwrap it.
- Carved 100% by hand, chisel to grain, by family artisans in Thuong Tin district, Hanoi. No CNC, no machine finishing. Look closely at the scales, the mane and the curled cloud motifs: each line is a single deliberate cut.
- Natural matte finish, no chemical varnish, so the grain and scent stay alive. Small variations in tone and carving make every dragon one of a kind.

FAQs
FAQs
A: The dragon stands for strength, success and good fortune, and the pearl is the wish-fulfilling pearl of wisdom and prosperity. Together they are a classic feng shui image for wealth, career growth and achieving your goals.
Q: Where should I place a feng shui dragon?
A: Traditionally in the east of a room, or on the left side of your desk (the Green Dragon side) to support career and opportunity. Face it into the room or toward the entrance, keep it raised, and avoid bathrooms and bedrooms.
Q: How big is it?
A: 7.9 in (20 cm) tall, 5.5 in (14 cm) wide and 3.9 in (10 cm) deep, about 1.1 lb (500 g). As each piece is hand carved, allow small variations of about 0.5 to 1 cm.
Q: Is it really hand carved?
A: Yes. It is carved entirely by hand from a single block of scented cypress by artisans in Thuong Tin district, Hanoi. No CNC machine is used, so no two dragons are exactly alike.
Q: Is the wood stand included?
A: The stand is optional. Choose "Add Base (Deal -30%)" to receive the solid wood square stand shown in the photos at 30% off.
Q: How do I care for it?
A: Dust with a soft dry brush or cloth, which also reaches between the scales. Avoid water and chemical cleaners, and keep it away from direct sun, heaters and damp rooms.
